OTHER INFO

Hi!

I've been in this group for nearly 5 seasons and have watched it evolve from doing almost exclusively 14th Century shows to the multi-period group it is today. I am the groups webmaster so most of what you can see here is my doing (Yes, I know the site is done in Frontpage but I don't have the time or the energy to learn any other html editor!). I am a real glutton for punishment, spending my Summers re-enacting Mediaeval history and study for a degree in Mediaeval history at St Andrews the rest of the year. By the way, I don't know Prince William so don't ask! When not at Uni, I live in the beautiful Border countryside surrounded by the bloody history of the Border Reivers. I think it was from these surroundings that I developed my fascination with the past. On the field I portray a range of characters, usually from the Man-at-Arms class. I began as a 14th Century Hobilar but am just as comfortable as a 15th Century Man-at-Arms or a 16th Century Border Reiver. Away from Re-enactment, I am keen on rugby and am also a member of the Campaign for Real Ale. I also enjoy cooking and have recently been experimenting with Mediaeval cookery.
