A well known face in Scottish Re-enactment, Alan heads up the Gaddgedlar with the aim to redress the balance of the "Tartan-Tat" that surrounds so much of Scottish Mediaeval and early Renaissance history thanks to the efforts of Sir Walter Scott and Hollywood. On the field Alan portrays a Knight/ Gentleman at arms from the 13th through to the 16th Century. Off the field He works for Scotland's oldest and largest Brewery.
