Gary began as a 14th Century footsoldier although since the arrival of the groups harquebus, he's more commonly seen in the 16th Century camp with powder burns and a maniacal grin on his face.

 "My job deals with teaching history, so re-enactment was a natural step for
me. Being in kit helps me to inform and entertain better than by just
describing it, and being in the middle of 300 folk battling with each other
